Kim has been involved in the dance world for over 30 years. Having started dance a little later than most, she soon found herself teaching, choreographing, and directing the dance school’s company within 3 years. While attending college for Elementary Education, Kim became a member of Dance Teacher’s Club of Boston and participated in their student workshop and membership committees. After graduating with a BS in Education, she worked throughout New England, New York and Oklahoma; examining new teachers for DTCB, creating dance curriculums for studios, supervised movement classes and camps, choreographed for competitive dancers and teams, and directed programs and musicals for schools and companies. Kim continued to take master classes from Southwest Oklahoma Dance Alliance, Lawton City Ballet, Gold Studios, Tremaine, and DTCB with noted teachers such as Gus Giordano, Gregg Russell, Mia Michaels, Finis Jhung, Sonya Tayeh, Sam Fiorello and Patsy Swayze. As a dance educator, through motivation, direction and encouragement, Kim challenges her students to reach for their maximum level of proficiency in technique and performance while reinforcing each dancer’s natural passion, creativity and joy of dance.
